Blogologues: Final Reflection / Performance Self & Peer Evaluation

I found the Blogologue unit very interesting because as a teen it is very relatable to what we see and experience on the internet and in real life on a daily basis. It was a lot of fun to make my awkward topic in a story. However, the awkward topic is very hard to act out because you have to be very obvious and you need a lot of acting skills, which I think I have not developed yet. Through out the process of creating this entire performance our group struggled to work and we always had someone absent on the day and this made it very difficult for our group to communicate and also made it difficult for our director, Ayat to make it a strong performance.

On the day of the performance we had Umar and Sunaira missing and we found out on the day of the performance. So, we had to cut their entire performance out, that made it difficult for our entire performance to flow properly. Also, the main part is that our transition bits were hard to do because from before we had acted the transition bits but because we had people absent they weren't very clear.

One of the parts I struggled with was that when Ayat started the show I was upstairs in the technical room I had to run down and I was put on stage this made me very nervous and I completely forgot everything but I think that part helped me make the performance awkward, and also, it helped the audience.

Task 6 - Production Roles

Task 6 - Production Roles

Part 1-

Staging in drama is very important because when we prepare a production one of the most important things is that we know how we will stage our characters and the props. Staging these things is significant to the production and to the audience because we need to make it comfortable for the audience to view it.  One job that would go with staging is being the director. The director sits as an audience but also guides staging and all the different drama aspects.

Part 2-

This is a big responsibility because as there are many different blogs we will portray and they’ll have many transitions so I have to make sure the staging is easy and not confusing for actors and the audience. The learner profile that I have to be for this role is, thinker and balanced. I have to be those specific learner profiles because I have to think deeply about how I will stage the play and being balanced is important for me because I have think about everyone else and compromise.

Part 3-

I think I am okay for this role because I have done it many times as for every production we have to do staging. Staging also interests me because I am used to being on stage and so I know when it is proper for whom to stand where. The things I need to learn is how to stage the characters after the transition changes or we portray a different aspect, I need to do this by watching more Boglologues videos and research about staging a little bit more.

Part 4-

First I need to read everyone’s scripts and then make a do script analyzing which will help me stage the production. Later, I need to share this with my group and if they are okay with I need to explain it to the guy in charge with the lights (Umar)

Task 5 - The Transition Bits

Twitter-

Twitter is a big social network. It's a big social network because many celebrities are involved with it. They use Twitter to interact with their fans. Celebrities have awkward moments where they're fighting with another star or say something completely wrong and offensive. We enjoy it when celebrities make these awkward moments because they're much more dramatic and it is made to be a much of a bigger deal.

Facebook-

On facebook there's a lot of different content, for example, awkward pictures, posts, comments, messages, pokes and friend requests. As we all know, online everyone has more guts to say things  they normally wouldn't say in reality.

Imessage-
iMessage is a new and common way to text. There is also the "auto correct" on iPhone or any apple device that changes what we mean to say and sometimes they turn out very funny and awkward.
